POSITION: Bus Driver (Part time –up to 24 hours/week)
$14.06 per hour

DEPARTMENT: Head Start
LOCATION: NEWPORT, KY
CLOSING DATE: WHEN FILLED

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Transportation of pre-school children to and from school per scheduled routes.
Maintain safe environment for children; maintain daily vehicle inspections and reporting requirements of position.
Comply with all transportation responsibilities in accordance with State Department of Transportation and Day Care licensing.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED.
A valid Kentucky CDL with passenger endorsement.
Ability to maintain all Recordkeeping requirements.
A clean driving record and ability to pass drug and alcohol screen testing.
Must be 25 years or older.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience or training in transportation of children/adults in a similar setting.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Interest in working with pre-school children, volunteers, and other staff to meet the needs of Head Start families.
Ability to work with people of diverse and varying socio-economic backgrounds.
